Lizi was abandoned last week at a colony even though she is blind, sick and was breathing with extreme difficulty. We found her walking in the middle of the street as she didn't know where she was, or how to protect herself!
We picked her up and rushed her to our vets. One eye is missing, the other is almost blind and needs to be removed, but the worst part is that she has a major diaphragmatic hernia which makes it difficult for her to breathe, eat or even defecate! Because of this, she is emaciated, a bag of bones! She will be operated today and we cross our fingers everything will go well.
This is an extremely difficult operation with a long and strenuous road to recovery but we owe her a chance.
Update 12/03/24
The diagrammatic surgery was a success and Lizi is healing extremely well!
She has unfortunately a permanent damage on one of her lungs but we will fight for her.
Next target to fully heal and do her eyes and spaying.
