My name is Susan. I have had my baby Lola Mia since she was 3 months old. She is my daily joy and the sweetest dog I've ever known. She is a 10 year old cavalier/poodle mix (cavapoo)

Just in In the last year she has developed Cushings Disease as well as a large cyst on her back (the cyst is shown on her profile picture). We thought things were under control but then her cyst burst and it continues to burst and bleed. Until we can get her Cushings medicine on a balanced level we can't do surgery to remove the cyst but we still need bi-monthly tests for Cushings and cleaning  for the cyst.  

Unfortunately this last June I found myself needing knee surgery which took me out of work (unpaid) for several months) I'm currently looking for jobs and have a number of good leads but I unfortunately don't have enough on hand to deal with Lolas health issue.  I do put her food, diet, walks, etc. priority to my own but I'm worried if this cyst gets worse it may become inflamed and need an operation sooner rather than later.

I know many of you have helped in the past when I helped to organize the fundraiser that helped heal Finnegan the little poodle hit on the Grand Central Parkway a few years ago.  He is doing so well with his new (well old now) family and I'm so happy I was able to be a part of helping him. I'm trying to raise $1,200 to cover testing, medicines and a clean up of the cyst/possible surgical removal.  Please share my story with your friends and family who are pet lovers and let me know if you would like more pictures or details.  I know many pet owners/lovers are out there and even a couple of bucks for a wide group of people goes a long way! I've been on the other side and it's a little hard now that I'm on this side asking for money for my girl but I believe in the generosity of so many of you in the world!!! And I hope soon I'll be able to put back into funds like this as well!!
