Knick Knack Pittie Pack has made some very important decisions in regards to the path the rescue is taking... we are in desperate need of a property where all of our pups (other than the ones in foster homes) are together in one location... taking care of pups at multiple locations three times a day, every day, is entirely too much,  And the boarding costs are drowning us.  Our current monthly boarding costs are $1475.  However... now is not the right time to make that happen... our pups' health & happiness come first and that will be our focus... we will be closed to any new intakes until further notice as well... 

We have two pups who need Heartworm treatment... one that needs an eye surgery and another that may... one that is on several medications to get his allergies under control enough to go through the full regimen of allergy shots/test... one that has a cyst that needsto be drained & biopsied... several that are due for their yearly exams and everything that goes along with that (vaccinations, HW/Lyme tests, etc) over the next 3-4 months... we are getting ready to give out the last of our monthly preventatives so will be in need again next month (and for 30+ dogs, that's pretty steep!)... our autoship from Chewy.com every month is almost $600 for canned food and soft treats for the many who cannot eat hard food/treats...

Our regular monthly bills are:  vehicle payment of $205 (only $808 left on that one!), $213 for our liability insurance, $115 MINIMUM due on our Care Credit (which is maxed out and cannot be used for anything until paid down), storage of $175... and private loan payments of $500.  

When everything was added up, $10,000 would clear up ALL of our debt!!!  It would leave us with our liability insurance payment, boarding, storage & vetting... which would be manageable with the other bills out of the way.

This month's "drive" is for funds towards a general fund to help make this happen for us but also offers the option of calling in a donation to our vet (Wayne Heights Animal Hospital in Waynesboro, PA  717-765-9636) and putting it on our account so we have a credit balance that we can use for our pups' vetting (I have had this approved through our vet to do this).

I will be adding details of the pups that need vetting done and an estimate as I have the time to do so... I just returned from a $318.10 visit to prepare one for his Heartworm treatment coming up in a few weeks... another goes in for his Heartworm treatment on Monday the 13th... there is always someone to take care of as we have become more of a sanctuary than a rescue it seems at times... so many of our pups came to us when no one else wanted them and, for many reasons, cannot be adopted out so they will live their lives out here with us.

Please help us continue to help them and get things caught up so that we can move forward with pursuing a new location in the Spring of 2019.
