Greetings!

My name is Marit and I would love to tell you about Saint Nicholas Animal Rescue (SNAR) Dominica. I became aware of SNAR while visiting Dominica. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL, however seeing the cruelty inflicted upon animals was HORRIFIC, but INSPIRED me to HELP INCITE CHANGE!

SNAR Dominica is the only non-profit Animal Rescue organization in the Commonwealth of Dominica. SNAR provides shelter and rescue to sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals across the island.

We are seeking YOUR SUPPORT!

Saint Nicholas Animal Rescue (SNAR) is named in honor of the Patron of sick and injured animals, Saint Nicholas of Tolentino. As humans capable of compassion, we believe in extending our helping hands and making a difference. 

The SNAR team is driven together and pushed forward daily by the commitment to help end the unnecessary suffering of helpless animals. Abuse, neglect, and torture is commonplace and unpunished in Dominica. It is our belief that together we are capable of increasing awareness, education and initing change.

SNAR is determined to make Dominica a better place for animals!

Most recently, SNAR was evicted and bullied out of a previous residence needing to build a new shelter from the ground up. It has come a long way, but is still in need of architecture to shelter the enclosures from potential hurricanes. As of right now, even a Category 1 hurricane would be devastating.

SNAR fights to save animals that have been set on fire, beaten, poisoned or even dragged behind vehicles! Each and every donation matters to us and most importantly to the helpless animals that depend on SNAR for a second chance at life.
