Hi! My name is Sara and I am fundraising for one of two orange Tabby kittens named Alex. These boys have made my life so much brighter after they were rescued them from the side of road in my town.

Alex is only 4 months old and he was recently diagnosed with lymphoma of the gastrointestinal tract. This is shocking and heartbreaking news for us as we have always been on top of things since Alex’s brother Kelvin had been facing health issues in his eyes and that Alex is so young for this diagnosis.

We took Alex to see a veterinarian after noticing weight loss and vomiting. Not only did we discover lymphoma as I previously mentioned, there was also a palpable abdominal mass found via X-ray in the intestinal wall of the beginning of Alex’s colon.

   After visiting an oncologist to confirm these findings we have been advised by Alex’s veterinarians to act quickly to save his life and they helped us start to develop a treatment plan which includes: multi-agent chemotherapy (CHOP), radiation treatments, and a surgery to remove the abdominal mass found in Alex’s colon. There have been many success stories of cats having little to no side effects and going into partial and full remission after treatment.

We hope and we pray for help from our friends, our loved ones, followers, or anyone who knows or has known what it is like to go through this or lose a pet. All of the funds raised will directly go to Alex’s pre-treatment ultrasounds, diagnosis, blood work, doctor and oncologist visits, medication, costs of overnight hospitalization, the medical costs and treatment plan we outlined previously, and Alex’s long term care.
