Hi all!  My name is Julia.  I am an animal lover and advocate.  I am also a friend of Crystal, who is Miko's Rescue Mission founder and sole rescuer and care giver for the dogs.  

This morning, Crystal was informed about her mother's sudden passing.  I know she and her Mom, Rosie were very close.  She was the only immediate family Crystal had.  Crystal did everything she could to care for her mom when she needed her.  She would even work her in-home care shifts when Rosie fell and injured her wrist, and then foot on another occasion.  

We really need to rally and help Crystal now.  She has a HUGE heart and gives everything she has to the rescue.  The rescue takes up a lot of time and energy seeing she is the only one caring for the dogs at this time.  She also just moved about a month ago and is at risk of having to move again.  She fosters her rescue dogs-all except 3, because some have special needs and there have not been any reliable long-term fosters.

Crystal and her rescue dogs (Rhino, Muñeca, Riley, Rocky, Camille) need help. Chato is currently at an in-home boarding while he waits for his transport to his adopter in PA. Islie and Duce are in separate foster homes.  Crystal is also short-term fostering 2 dogs (Athena and Kane) for another rescue who is based in Canada, until their transport comes.  Along with the rescue dogs, she has 3 of her own to care for (Sancho, Abby, and Baya).  Then of course there's Miko, her ESA and soul dog.  He goes with Crystal wherever she goes.

If anyone has experienced loss in the family, especially one of a parent, you know how extremely painful and devastating it is.  My goal here is to help alleviate any additional stress for Crystal during this time.  Please consider donating.
