I recently spent 10 months at an animal rescue centre in Central Thailand (Bon Jardin), during my stay, we rescued and cared for many injured and ill dogs - as well as trained and re-homed close on 100 dogs. The project continues to thrive and is doing some very important spay & neuter work at temples all over Thailand. 

Late one night, whilst driving home, I passed a temple where my flashlights picked up on some movement in the middle of the road. I immediately stopped the car and found Roxie, at 8 weeks old, walking around in circles, hungry, lost and alone. Roxie's coat was crawling from fleas like I had never before seen; bleeding, raw and blotchy from deep ringworm & mange. I searched for the mother & the rest of the litter but, to no avail. 

I took Roxie home and immediately fed this little guzzler and cleaned her up for days after, caring for her, sleeping with her, cuddling her non stop. Of course, Roxie and I have a very special bond. She went everywhere with me and was fiercely protective in the most loving of ways. I finally had my own little companion. 

I had to come back to South Africa and leave Roxie behind which was heart breaking! I am learning that Roxie is more a 'human companion dog' than a pack dog and is finding it tricky to integrate with the other dogs and is bullied. She spends much of her time on her own on the farm and I miss her terribly. I find myself working with NGOs again and not able to fund her travel here. We would both be elated to be together again, I am going to try everything to have this gorgeous girl back in my life. 

Laws regarding dogs flying into South Africa means Bon Jardin Dog Rescue could take her to Bangkok, fully vaccinated, where she will fly as cargo. I can collect her in Cape Town and bring her to the Garden Route in the Western Cape. Our only costs will involve travel, taxes and fees. 

Roxie will have a full, happy life on a farm again - please help us make this possible
