As we rushed through the doors, her heartbreaking cries echoed through the halls—it was clear she was in unimaginable pain. We knew we had to act fast and immediately got her to the emergency vet.
X-rays confirmed the worst: her front leg was shattered, with shards of bone scattered throughout. On top of that, she had an old, untreated hip dislocation and a floating kneecap, likely from a past trauma. This poor girl has endured so much, but despite it all, she still has a will to fight—and we’re determined to fight for her.
The good news? Cantaloupe’s leg can be repaired. The bad news? The surgery will cost around **$3,000**, not including post-op care or her hospital stay. We’ve received $500 in pledges, but we need your help to cover the rest.
