We our the Neal's. We are sibling's that share one thing common we are all on the Spectrum. In 2016 our parents noticed Isabela was not taking so they started her on her jo with Early Intervention who came once a week to work with her. Her language grew fast people started to understand her much better. Then came Joshua. After some time our parents noticed he wasn't only rolling everywhere and didn't seem to want to walk any time soon. The got early intervention out to help him. Then our parents and early intervention noticed he wasn't talking as well as other kids his age so they started sending a speech therapist out to the house. When he was 2 years old he started walking later that year he said his first word. Isabela was now talking speech at the local Primary Children's hospital. Then our baby brother was born. After some time our parents noticed was At mom has shoes with walking and talking. They had early an invention coming for him as well. Joshua had started preschool at the developmental preschool and Isabela in kindergarten. In the middle of kindergarten she started speech therapy at school. As the school year went on mom noticed Isabela was having a lot more anxiety then the other kid. Our parents watched her close. As the years went on they where told to get Joshua an Autism evaluation so they did and you know what He did have autism. He had big meltdowns that lasted a really, stems, and was OCD, sensory issues and his social skills need some help. Now my parents got him into ABA therapy more speech and Occupational therapy right away. He now goes to speech 4 days a week and does 25 hrs of ABA. Our parents got Isabela evaluation after this. Mom Spanish class with her and she was all over the place. Mom took her in to get an evaluation for ADHD and Autism. They said she has ADHD. .on didn't fell that was all so she took her to another evaluation where they said she has ADHD and Is social pragmatic communication disorder. By this time, both of our brothers got diagnosed with Aproxia of speech. Mom saw somethings in Sam that made her thin Autism so she went in and got him a evaluation. She was right it was Autism. Mom has been told by a doctor to get Isabela re evaluated for Autism and that sounded right to mom she she will get retested soon. In between all this all of us kids have been I have been diagnosed auditory processing Disorder. Isabela recently started getting crippling anxiety. Even with taking medication for it already. A service dog could help each of us kids in so many ways.
Common autism service dog tasks are:
Assistance With Meltdowns / Overstimulation, Repetitive Behavior Reduction ,Deep Pressure Stimulation, Kinetic Engagement, Tactile grounding provides an “anchor” to help prevent environmental overstimulation, communication help, Tethering keeping autistic person from running into danger,physically standing in front of an autistic person who is trying to run out of an open door or gate. The dog “blocks” them from going through the opening, and Routine Setting,
Almost all of these tasks can help us sibling's to live a more independent life with less anxiety.
