Little Pluto was abandoned in a rural area when his family moved. After weeks of surviving on his own he was rescued and eventually ended up with AARF. We were told he had a weak backend from birth but when he came in we knew something was seriously wrong with his back leg and not something he was born with. After a trip to the doggie urgent care we were absolutely shocked to find that he has lived the majority of his 5yrs with a horrific break that was left untreated and never healed. Not only that but he is rittled with what appear to be pellets and/or buckshot that showed up all over his body in his xrays. Clearly this little dog has endured a crazy amount of pain and at this point we are hoping that people will feel as we do and want to help give him freedom from that pain by amputating his badly injured leg. Initial surgery estimates are around 3,300 for the surgery alone. We're hoping to raise enough to help with some of the costs from today's visit as well as his aftercare.
