Hello everyone, I want to introduce you to a dear friend of mine. Or more precisely, a cat friend of mine. His name is Franky. He came to us, seemingly by chance last year at a time in our lives when we all were hurting.

In March of 2015, my sister, Anise, lost her fight with cancer. Her daughter Tonya, who is fighting a form of Parkinson's disease, and her dog Speedy, came to live with my sister Jo, our cat Grey and I. Of course, Grey, was the boss. She was 20 years old, daddy's beautiful girl! Grey was starting to show signs of her age. Grey was more withdrawn, hiding, getting sick, not grooming herself and not eating. So we thought that a companion might help draw her out of the depression she seemed to be in.

We went to the NE Humane Society and Immediately I wanted to take everyone home with me. All the beautiful cats and dogs alike needed friends, but just like a dating sight we looked over there profiles and and a few guys there seemed right for our expericed little lady. Unfortunantly the impression I got from the boy cats we met was that their favorite TV show was on and we were interupting the big scene. They were not to interested in spending time with us at all. Then the attendant asked. "How do you feel about black cats?" It's funny she asked that because most of the animals our family has owned in the past have been black; cats and dogs. We have no concern about superstition. Then there he was, Franky. Franky walked through the door, looked us over and jumped into my lap. Such a handsome boy! He took to me right away. He head butted my shoulder, curled up in my chest, kneed my arms, and purred as I pet him. We both fell in love. 

I brought him home straight away!

After a little while, Franky and Grey started getting a long very well. By Thanksgiving of 2015 Grey was back to coming out to the living room again. She was grooming herself and eating regularly. We were so happy to see her turn around so quickly. Grey And Franky really inspired us. It was so happy to see their friendship grow especially when, in July, we were challenged yet again when my brother Loren lost his fight with heart disease.

Grey lived to be 21 years old, she passed in March 2016. Franky has been wearing Greys collar ever since.

My little Franky, is such an angel. Just a few weeks ago Franky got really sick one night. The next day he didnt come out to play or eat or even get a belly rub which he always loves. He was hiding. Which he Never does. that whole day he stayed hidden. We knew something was very wrong with my handsome boy. We got him to the Vet and did and x-ray. What they could tell was that there is a mass in his abdomin that could be Cancer. They reffered us to a specialist to do an Ultrasound and followup. However we are on disability and don't have the ,omey to do all the tests let alone any treatments for him.  I was truly heart sick to think all i can do is watch my beautful boy die. I've cried myself to sleep more than once worrying about little Franky.

I feel i have to do something more for Franky. Since he came home to me, every night he would climb into my chest, curl up, kneed my arm and purr like a freight train.  But for the last couple weeks he has been is some pain and hasn't been able to move around like he usually does. Thats why I need to ask for your help. Please help me save my friend Frank. He has been a little Angel to my family I really want to be able to give back the love he has given to each of us.
