Thank you for taking a moment to join us on this journey. I am a British freelancer with a background in wildlife conservation, and for many years. My environmental work and mission to help animals has taken me to various countries in Latin America, including Ecuador, Peru, and Guatemala, and Mexico, It is near impossible but I tried very hard to find loving homes for some of these animals, one beautiful dog I rescued from Ecuador, I rehomed back in the UK. Over the years, I've had the privilege of saving and rehoming over 50 animals in need in Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, and Mexico, while I was doing other environmental projects and teaching. Though, I don't run an animal refuge, these rescue pets often become my family when I cannot find other homes for them.

Life took an unexpected turn five years ago when I became a widow. My journey led me to Europe to try and secure a permanent residency visa to not have to go back to Latin America, but the pandemic and visa complications left me in a state of uncertainty. Ultimately, I had to leave the EU due to Brexit-related issues, and I couldn't return to the UK due to strict covid regulations, in 2021 travel restrictions. With limited options, I found myself coming to sit out the rest of the pandemic in Mexico, a place with softer regulations but also a series of unfortunate experiences with unscrupulous Mexican landlords, all three have treated me unfairly and that is why I had to go to a hostel with 5 pets, Airbnbs don{t accept that many either here so its very difficult now for me. I face a dire situation when I was forced out of my temporary accommodation with my five pets. Despite seeking refuge in hotels or hostels, I encountered exorbitant fees per pet, making it financially impossible. As a result, I'm currently in a precarious living situation that is neither safe nor secure.

I've persevered through difficult living situations and continued to rescue animals in Mexico, taking in lots of dogs and an abandoned cat from the streets. Finding homes for these animals has been incredibly challenging, as resources for animal refuges are stretched thin, and many refuges are already overwhelmed.

I am now focused on getting my animals and myself out of this situation and out of Mexico as quickly as possible to safer lands in Europe, however, another blow of bad luck is my last client I worked for didn´t pay me for the work I did, otherwise I would be on my way by now with my animals and this is where I need your help. With your support, we can reach our goal of $3,125, ideally to 5000 to cover the expenses required for my pets to safely leave Mexico, we will be going to Europe, Spain where its safer and easier to rent with pets, I don{t drive so I will also be booking a driver who can take pets to where ever we find a place that accepts us from the airport in Madrid, to the south of Spain.

With deep gratitude I ask for your support for help with vaccinations, health certificates, microchips, and travel crates for the dogs. Additionally, funds raised beyond this goal can contribute to securing a deposit and travel from the airport to a new rented home for us in Europe, should we be able to reach our goal.

- Health Certificates for 5 pets: $145
- Microchips for 2 pets: Estimated $300 (3 already have chips from Europe and the two new rescues need chips).
- Two large dog travel boxes: $430
Flights for 5 pets: Estimated $750
