💔 We were called to help… and found ourselves facing so much more than we expected.

We were asked to help a group of abandoned dogs in a village in Nicosia district. What we discovered was approximately 15–17 dogs living in terrible conditions.

We managed to rescue 6 puppies and one adult male and bring them to our shelter.

Sadly, the puppies were later diagnosed with parvovirus.

We lost 6 precious little lives. 💔
Only two puppies survived and returned to the shelter.

What started as a simple call for help has become a much bigger rescue than we could have imagined, with €1,820 already spent on veterinary care, treatment, and the extensive cleaning and disinfection needed to protect the other dogs in our shelter. And there are still ongoing costs ahead.

We never expected this case to become so overwhelming, but we simply could not turn our backs on them.
