Hi, my name is Hanli
After 5 years working for different animal welfare organisations, in 2019 I established an independent sterilisation project called PAWSS.org, for stray cats & dogs in Hua Hin, on the Western coast of Thailand.
Every day, we receive calls and messages about animals who are injured, sick, abandoned or starving. Some have been hit by cars, others are suffering from severe neglect and many are simply trying to survive on their own. We do everything we can to help: rescue, spay, treat, rehabilitate and, for the luckier ones, find a furever family locally or abroad. But there's one huge challenge we face every single day: transportation!
Many of the animals we help are in remote areas. The dirt roads, especially during the rainy season, become muddy, flooded, and nearly impossible to navigate with a regular vehicle. Ever since losing our sponsored truck during Covid in 2023 it has been incredibly frustrating having our efforts limited to what’s possible with a scooter (you’d be surprised what is, actually.. ! 😆😅).
Even so, not being able to help an animal in desperate situation for the lack of transport is heartbreaking to the point of torture! That’s why I am raising funds to buy a secondhand truck from a local animal rescue supporter who offered it to me at a really great price.
This vehicle would change everything! With it we could get back to doing mass spay events again; could reach animals no matter where they are, through mud, mountains, floods, and jungle paths; could transport more animals safely, get to the vet quicker, and (at long last!) never again have to say, “sorry, we can’t help.”
Try as I might over the past 6 months, the truth is I cannot do it alone - and I've run out of time..! I’ve paid 50k Thai Baht so far, but need your help with the remaining 100k Thai Baht ($US 3,100 US / € 2,650) to make it happen. Without immediate funding this rare opportunity will slip through my fingers - I'm asking for your support to make this dream a reality.
This is more than just a vehicle.. it’s a lifeline! It’s also a symbol of hope, of compassion - and what can be achieved when we come together to be a voice for vulnerable beings who cannot speak for themselves.
