LEO Africa is a Big 5 wildlife monitoring, conservation and sustainable living volunteer project established in 2005. Our mission is to help and provide the Reserve Management with relevant information about the key animal species present in the reserve, (such as lion, leopard, elephant, white rhino, buffalo, hyenas and cheetahs), as well as supporting with conservation work, anti-poaching and veterinary operations when necessary. LEO Africa also focuses on green energy, recycling and education on the meaning of conservation and sustainability for present and future generations. Volunteers are the center of our work, helping us in the field as well as supporting the project financially, making our vital work possible. LEO Africa provides a free service to the reserve and the only way to fund itself is represented by the volunteers. While volunteering with LEO Africa, you will learn new skills, you will directly contribute towards real conservation, you will make amazing memories whilst living a truly African experience!
Organization campaigns
Leopards are beautiful and impressive cats and at LEO we want to protect them. We are fundraising to purchase new camera traps which are vital to our day to day work in monitoring and protecting leopards and other endangered species. Every donation helps!
