PAWS provides adoption services, transitional boarding, veterinary care, networking assistance for fosters and rescue organizations worldwide, and it dedicates time and proceeds to research and education to further support for animal welfare, by ways of fundraising, and community outreach.  

When it comes to TNR for pregnant Queens, Instead of routine late-term interventions, PAWS works with local rescues, an expensive network of foster families, and the public, to provide safe spaces for mothers and their litters. We offer behavior workshops to address issues that often prevent cats from being adopted. Once kittens reach approximately 12 weeks and are weaned, they (and suitable mothers) are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed for adoption. Highly feral mothers are returned to their original colonies through a managed Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) approach.

PAWS aims to collaborate with existing shelters and fosters rather than replace them, helping transport animals when needed and building a stronger volunteer and foster network.

We raise awareness about the benefits of appropriate weaning periods and advocate for expanded, humane programs in animal rescue facilities.
