Boca de Lobo hasn't added a story.

Your sponsorship will change the life of dogs like Chichu, Lilo, Susan, Larrrrra, Sol, Maya, Nino, Doobie, and many others

How your support helps the animals

Your support makes it possible to help every animal we come across in the best way possible. Whether it's a street dog with a skin disease or an animal from a loving home where they can't take care of him/her anymore. Your support has such a significant impact on the lives of these animals.

Your sponsorship directly helps your chosen animal and partially helps us run the shelter.

Nino, who developed seizures shortly after we started taking care of him. He did quite well for a couple of months on anti-seizure medication. Nino turned into a muscular dog before his convulsions got uncontrollable by medication.

Nino, who developed seizures shortly after we started taking care of him. He did quite well for a couple of months on anti-seizure medication. Nino turned into a muscular dog before his convulsions got uncontrollable by medication. We asked our vet to end his suffering but were happy he could spend some well-fed months with us before his passing away. Photobomb by Chispa who has been with us since 2017.

Larrrrra, is the latest addition to our club. We came across her on a recent walk. An unspayed female dog this skinny is going to suffer having babies. So we asked the people where we found her if we could take her.

Larrrrra is the latest addition to our club. We came across her on a recent walk. An unspayed female dog this skinny is going to suffer having babies. So we asked the people where we found her if we could take her. "No problem", they said, "it's not our dog anyway."

How your support helps the shelter

Besides supporting specific animals we are also in need of support for the shelter. We need to build and do maintenance on the infrastructure and keep it clean, and we also take care of the hospitalization for a couple of days after sterilization or after an accident of animals living on the street or the farms.

Sol, who we tried to treat on the street first but saw no improvement has recently joined the club. He arrived without hair because of a very contagious skin infection. Here you see his first hair on his back.

Sol, who we tried to treat on the street first but saw no improvement has recently joined the club. He arrived without hair because of a very contagious skin infection. Here you see his first hair on his back, more has grown since. He just got a scrub to get rid of all the dead skin and that is also the reason why he's without a cone on his head.

Doobie, was hit by a car and brought to us by a dear friend. His leg was rotting and had to be amputated at the shoulder. He happily jumps around on three legs like nothing ever happened.

Doobie was hit by a car and left on the street. A dear friend and supporter brought him in. His leg was rotting and had to be amputated at the shoulder. Thanks to the wonderful work of our vet he happily jumps around on three legs like nothing ever happened.

These are usually the things that happen without proper planning, so thank you for that extra support for animals in need.

Maya, she came to us with an infectious fungal infection and because of it was going to be put to sleep by the previous owner. We treated her and gave her a second life.

Maya came to us with an infectious fungal infection and because of it was going to be put to sleep by the previous owner. We treated her and gave her a second life.

Some facts

32 animals in our care

Lilo (top), yes the same one from the video, and Susan (bottom) arrived at nearly the same age. Lilo underfed and with a fungal infection and Susan full of fleas and ticks, with on top of it an allergic reaction to ticks.

Lilo (top), the one from the video, and Susan (bottom) arrived at nearly the same age. Lilo was found underfed and with a fungal infection and Susan was given to us full of fleas and ticks, with on top of it an allergic reaction to ticks. They are both doing great now and became playing buddies.

Treminio, our caretaker on the farm, with Roscoe (back) and Hella (front), twins that arrived as a puppy and are inseparable. As puppies, they were already running behind the free-roaming chickens so their previous owner kindly gave them to us.Treminio, our caretaker on the farm, with Roscoe (back) and Hella (front), twins that arrived as a puppy and are inseparable (or at least that's what Roscoe thinks). As puppies, they were already running behind the free-roaming chickens so their previous owner kindly gave them to us. They never lost their hunting instinct, so they get to walk around the farm on a leash and return more tired than Treminio, it's hard following his pace!

Tim with Thom, named after Thom Yorke because of his asymmetrical eyes, arrived flea infested as the smallest of the litter that nobody wanted. As the smallest of the club, he takes up a lot of space and isn't easily intimidated by our other dogs. Tim with Thom, named after Thom Yorke because of his asymmetrical eyes, arrived flea infested as the smallest of the litter that nobody wanted.

Claudia with Aria, who was rejected by her mother and had to be bottle-fed to be kept alive. Because of the short time with her mother, she didn't socialize well and because of that is to be considered a dangerous and unpredictable dog.

Claudia with Aria, who was rejected by her mother and had to be bottle-fed to be kept alive. Because of the short time with her mother, she didn't socialize well and because of that is to be considered a dangerous and unpredictable dog. She gets along with some of the other dogs but doesn't do well with others and most people so we have to keep her on a strict schedule.
