I rarely ask for donations — in fact, I’ve only ever created one fundraiser before, and thanks to your kindness, we made a difference.
But today, I’m asking again… because I am desperate to help a dog who has truly captured my heart.
Arlo is a boy I met at one of the pounds I support, and I’ve shared him before on my Mutts & Mongrels page. I’ll be honest… I had almost accepted that he would never be chosen. With his cropped ears, his “tough” look, and the stigma that comes with it, dogs like Arlo are almost always overlooked.
But then something incredible happened — an amazing woman who previously fostered one of our dogs reached out and offered to foster him. Suddenly, a dog I thought had no chance… had hope. Real hope.
And with the new UK legislation being discussed — the ban on importing dogs with cropped ears and docked tails from 2026 — this December flight may be Arlo’s only chance at a better life.
There is already a fundraiser covering part of his flight, but Arlo needs one more vital test.
He had a lump on his back, and although he has had a biopsy, the vets strongly recommend further, more advanced examination. This additional test costs £300, and the pound has already covered everything they can.
So now I’m doing what I can — creating this fundraiser in hope that together, we can give Arlo the chance he deserves.
I have such a soft spot for this boy. Knowing he finally has a foster space waiting for him fills me with hope… and I desperately want to get him to the UK where a safe, loving life awaits.
Please help me give Arlo this chance.
Help him get the tests he needs.
Help him make that flight.
Help him finally have a fresh start.
