As many of you know, Cooper has a huge cyst/tumor on the inside of his back right leg.  Over the past year I have done my best to care for it at home as I cannot afford the financial costs of the surgery to remove it.

The cyst/tumor has shrunk & regrown a few times over the past year.  It is now macerated with an open wound that will not heal, nor stop bleeding.  I have consistently bandaged it & done everything in my power to keep it clean in hopes of healing it.

Unfortunately, it seems to now be probably infected (based upon sight & smell) and at this point I've exhausted all home care options & it needs to be removed.  

I will be taking Cooper to the vet ASAP to get antibiotics & proper care, as well as confirm the surgical cost estimate I was given last December.  The photos attached are a few months old, and the vet cost estimate is 1 year old. 

I will update with new photos as soon as I'm able to (It is difficult to get photos of the cyst when it is only me, or me & my daughter, there to control the bleeding & change his bandaging).

Cooper is not just a pet or furry family member, he is my medical alert service animal, my boy, and I need him healthy to help me stay healthy.  

Please donate what you can, if you can, towards his veterinary costs & after care (bandaging supplies, meds, etc).
